I packed 8 babygros and 8 vests in each size, and got through all of the ones in the size dd needed. I was in two nights, any longer and I would have needed more.

Chelyanne · 25/03/2021 16:24

I only took a few of each for each of my twins last time, had an elcs but only stayed the one night. Would have had dh bring more if I needed them.

I will go with 4 i think, all my babies except dc1 came home same day and wearing first set of clothes

May2021Mummy · 25/03/2021 16:48

On my hospital list it says to pack 4 of each I can post a picture of the list if it helps 😊

How did you get through 8 in 2 days? Was baby very sicky?

I've packed 3 in newborn and 3 in 0-1. If he's looking giant at my 36 week scan tomorrow I may replace newborn with a bigger size.

Whocares2021 · 25/03/2021 16:52

I was going to say 4 - If you are in for more than a day more can be bought in (I’m assuming they are allowing visitors)

3rdtimemomma · 25/03/2021 16:55

Thanks everyone! This has helped a lot!

Unsure at the moment how long I'll be in just due to growth scans ( small baby)

I'm going to pack 5 and then as a few people mentioned get my DP to drop more up if needed!

Thankyou so much everyone 😊

@May2021Mummy would it be possible to post the pic when you get a sec please? I’m starting to think about hospital bag and I’m a bit clueless! Confused

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 25/03/2021 18:10

Much easier than trying to direct someone else to the things you need / want!

Kayjay2018 · 25/03/2021 18:11

@3rdtimemomma have some more supplies of everything packed and ready at home in case you stay in longer than expected, that way someone can just grab that extra bag and you know it will have what you need in it, rather than them rummaging in drawers for items.

Roselilly36 · 25/03/2021 18:18

I went straight home from the delivery suite with DS2 so I only needed one set, my DS was early by10 days but at 9lb 3oz went straight into 0-3mths, but I packed a few just in case. Good luck OP, what an exciting time for you,

Janxyb · 25/03/2021 18:18

I just did a few of each in my hospital bag but had an 'extras' back in the boot of the car. Was in for a week in the end so needed everything and more! X

iluvpickles · 25/03/2021 18:30

I put like maybe 5/6 vests and baby grows, several pairs of socks, mits & hats a cardigan too. A big pack of nappies, wipes/cotton wool and nappy bags.

I also packed an extra bag at home with roughly the same amount incase I stayed in for longer. I ended up in 5 nights 6 days! It was a god send as I was able to say to dh please bring the bag on top of chest of drawers it has more baby clothes. He wouldn't have known where to start and wld probably have brought all the wrong size and type of clothes if I had left him to it!

I'm pretty sure we took 3 of each with DD. I was only in one night and we used 2 of each just because I changed her the following day.

@May2021Mummy so helpful - thank you! X
