So yesterday I had my 12 week scan and combined test (I’m 13+5 with twins). Baby A has a measurement of 1.5mm which is classed as normal, heart was beating, however, Baby B has a measurement of 13.8mm! The range for normal is up to 3.5mm, my baby is beyond that! The heartbeat was present but baby was upside down and I wasn’t told much at all, I was placed into a room whilst someone took my bloods and notes were written. I then got told I am to have further testing (appointment is tomorrow) but that was all I was told. I’m beside myself, I’m so happy that baby A had a normal measurement but I can’t stop worrying about baby B. Everything I see about a measurement that high is not good news.. I haven’t stopped crying.. 😢

I don't have any experience with this but wanted to say I hope you are OK and good luck for tomorrow. How worrying for you x

Thinking of you op - there is a really good helpline run by ARC the antenatal results and choices charity. They are really good for support and answering questions. You would also be able to get support from the Tommy’s midwife helpline Flowers

I had high nuchal with both my pregnancies but with my second the nuchal fold was 4.1mm. We were given a 1 in 4 chance of Downs and had lots of tests.

One of the tests showed a mild heart conditions and he was later diagnosed with a mild genetic condition. He is now 13 , healthy and happy. ( apart from when he is being a grumpy teen ). I remember the worries around that time very well. I would just say , a high nuchal doesn't always mean terrible things, listen to your doctors and make your own decisions.

Hi OP I had similar although not as high. T1 had a high NT of 3.8mm and T2 was within normal range. They are now 11 months old and healthy. It was very stressful until they were born and I had 3 cardiac scans, an mri and weekly scans with my consultant. I was told T1 was high risk for downs and had the nipt which came back low risk. If that had come back high I would have had an amnio. Are you having an amnio?
