So Iv decided to stop taking my 50mg sertraline antidepressants, I'm currently 32w pregnant. I'm about 6 days off taking them, head feels a little weird but I'm feeling fine mentally.

But does anyone know if it will have an affect on the baby to stop taking them?

Hey huni I'm not to sure on this question. My best advice would be to ask a doctor as I'm sure you have to ween of medication. Good luck babe

I've been advised to wean off them gradually. However, as I am nearly 40 weeks I'll be giving birth on 50mg. The point is to reduce so that baby doesn't have withdrawal symptoms at birth. I was referred to an obstetrician for advice on reducing/stopping so maybe ask your midwife for this?
I wasn't made aware of any issues stopping abruptly with baby but when I stopped cold turkey even for a few days I went really dizzy a lot so reducing gradually was better for me.
