Painful stitch at one side of stomach sign of labour?

I'm currently 36 weeks but having daily monitoring due to having 6 episodes of reduced movements. All day Iv had irregular tightening that I just put down to braxton hicks. When I went for monitoring I mentioned this and it was getting picked up on the monitor but no pattern as such. (This was at 5pm)
I now feel like they are stronger and more frequent but because I'm only 36 weeks I'm thinking maybe it's something and nothing? With my first my waters went before contractions so I'm not sure how contractions actually start. (I feel quite silly) They are on my right side, feel like a painful stitch lasting around just over a minute but It doesn't take my breath away I just have to sit down while it goes?

I’ve been getting this lately with braxton hicks, worse on my left side but down both sides of bump. It’s very painful and actually brought me to tears the other day. I’m 35 weeks.

My 1st was born at 36+3 but my waters went first with him, my 2nd was at 39+6 but I was in slow labour for around 5 days before things really kicked off.

Sorry I don’t really have any decent info, just know you’re not alone!

I had a really bad stitch a day before I started losing my plug/labour with DD.

At the time I just thought it was a stitch/trapped wind Grin but looking back it was the start of something.

Labour usually starts in your back, but if in doubt call your labour ward.
