I'm 18 + 3 weeks and I somehow keep forgetting I'm pregnant!

How is everyone else feeling?

This is my second, we already have a just turned 2 year old little girl and found out last week we are getting another girl, we're over the moon.

I just can't get my head around the fact I'm pregnant. I have a quite noticeable bump but I just feel bloated, I also haven't felt any movement yet.

Some days I feel full of life and others I just feel slightly hungover.

I wish I was as excited as I was with my first.

Just wondering how everyone else is finding this stage of pregnancy? Anyone feeling the same as me lol.

I'm 18+1 !

Sometimes I have a bump, other times I think I'm just starting to look fat instead of pregnant haha.

I'm pretty sure I've started to feel movement, flutters etc but it's my first baby so this is all new to me.

I also don't feel very pregnant so had an early scan last week and found out I'm having a boy.

I have killer back pain but have done since the start and feel tired a lot - other than that and waking up 10 times in the night to pee, I'm doing okay! Grin

I’m earlier than you at 12 weeks with number two. I’m (sadly) not at the forgetting I’m pregnant stage as I’m still so sick but I definitely forget I’m having another baby a lot of the time!
I’m trying to take it as a good thing, that I feel more peaceful in this pregnancy than I did the first time round. I might just be telling myself that to avoid the guilt though, as I also have all the usual worries that I could never love another baby as much as my first and if I don’t cherish this pregnancy as much as my first it means I don’t love the baby as much. Don’t you love hormones? Grin

I have had 4 scans already, 2 nhs 2 private and I still don't believe there is a baby in there!!

I was so into my pregnancy last time, really careful about what I was eating/drinking, regular exercise, looking for nursery ideas etc. This time I'm just really struggling, I think having a 2 year old is obviously keeping me very occupied and the fact that shops are closed is stopping me buying baby things, or am I just making excuses for myself?

I feel terrible and really hope it changes soon.

I'm 14 weeks (with my second) so a bit behind you but can totally relate to forgetting that I'm pregnant!

I think it's something to do with not being in the same routine, not going to work and seeing people (and trying to hide the pregnancy), not going to the pub so not having to order a lemonade, not going to restaurants and being picky about what you can eat on the menu, not going on public transport and wearing a badge etc. There's just so much less to remind you that you're pregnant. Consequently struggling to find that excited feeling as well but I'm confident that will come as I get bigger!

I'm 19+2wk now. Easy to forget I'm pregnant, feel like I just look like I've put on a bit of timber rather than pregnant. Most symptoms subsided and feel more energetic in general. I do feel movement (could feel the early ones before my dating scan) but they are still easily missed, I found out I have a posterior placenta at a private scan at 16+4. I certainly know I'm pregnant when I walk the dog as I get out of breath easier and get side discomfort from the stretching muscles. Also have spd/pgp symptoms increasing, not too bad in the gym atm but struggling to maintain the heavier weights now and having to reduce them a bit more. My last pregnancy was twins so I felt very pregnant at this stage with them and had a pretty big bump too. We have 5 kids already they are 15, 10, 8 & 6.

OP - I’m only 13ish weeks and I really hope I get to a point where like you I don’t feel pregnant because I feel that great! At the moment I’m suffering with bouts of nausea, reduced appetite, excess saliva production, extreme fatigue to the point I’m already tired for tomorrow!

I really miss eating, I miss food and I miss not being repulsed by all my favourite foods and drinks.

I hope the rest of your journey goes by safe and quick x

I'm 18+4 with my first and constantly forgetting I'm pregnant, only been like it the last 2/3 weeks though Hmm

Crikey, I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my first and I often find that I forget I'm pregnant. 😂

Twirlywoos1 · 27/03/2021 17:30

I'm 17 weeks with my second and just don't feel pregnant at all. Ive been on furlough from work for the best part of a year so I'm just so bored and finding it really hard to get excited about this pregnancy (although im over the moon).
I have a noticeable bump but sometimes think thats bloat 🙈

I hope as the world starts opening up again in these next few weeks things start to change 🤞🏼

So glad you guys feel the same as me. I asked my mil for a glass on wine with my tea tonight when she asked what I'd like to drink!! I was even confused for a second when she replied with 'you wish' thinking I was joking 😂

Great news though.. I felt some movement for the first time today which I loved!
