Just one single cigarette, in second trimester, and never touched a cigarette again for the rest of the pregnancy? Was baby okay?
Thanks x

not proud of it, but yes, and he's fine

You won't be able to extrapolate from people's experiences. It is unlikely it would do any measurable harm. If it's already done then move on and don't worry about it - you probably take in as much carbon monoxide walking by a busy road. If you're contemplating having one, I wouldn't, it probably isn't worth it and will just make you worry!

I did, very ashamed. Very guilty. It just wasn’t worth it but baby was fine

I stopped the day I found out but my friend smoked through her first pregnancy and stopped at 20 weeks with her second. Both kids fine with absolutely no health issues.

I live in a London borough where the air quality is apparently as bad as smoking 150 fags a year, so a little less than half of one a day. I lived here when pregnant with both daughters, and they’re fine BUT I wouldn’t purposefully put a cigarette in pregnant me’s mouth. It wouldn’t be right and I world worry for the rest of the pregnant, even though it’s illogical.

Thank you everyone for sharing experiences, I feel a lot better!
