Second pregnancy, 16 weeks pregnant, anxious about movement

Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of reassurance (hopefully!). I'm 16 weeks pregnant and just can't remember what's normal in terms of movement early on. All I can find online is about regular movement after 20-24 weeks.

I know there is nothing that can be done if something is wrong at this stage so not looking for people telling me to go to the midwife and listen for heartbeat, more what other people's be experiences have been.

I started feeling movement at 12 weeks and it is very variable. Some days quite a lot of definite movements, some days a few 'maybes', and other periods where I go days at a time with nothing at all. It just doesn't seem to have increased at all over the last four weeks.

With my first child I had movement every day from 18 weeks and that was with an anterior placenta so was expecting to be feeling more sooner and more consistently second time round.

I've had two miscarriages so probably more anxious than I should be!

I don't really think there is any normal really as baby is still small so can easily get into positions you can't feel.

Obviously you know if you're worried, to contact midwife ect.
I contacted mine at 18 weeks because I hadn't felt them for 2 days after feeling them at least once a day from 14 weeks.
Baby was still happy kicking away though. Just in a position I couldn't feel apparently.
They still happily checked me though

I’m a FTM and I first felt movements around 19 weeks. It’s only really started to increase at about 23 weeks.

I wouldn't be worrying about regular movements for a fair few weeks yet. Baby is still quite small and can move in to positions where you'll feel little to noting quite easily.

I'm 18+5wk and babys movements are still easily missed atm, she follows 2 mc's and a few chemicals so I worry a lot too.

Third baby and I could feel movements before my dating scan. But they then stopped for several weeks (presumably because baby was too small and moved to a different position).

I didn't start a pattern til about 18 weeks and even then I had a day or two with nothing.

I am now 23 weeks and have a VERY wiggly baby (kicks off doppler for heartbeats, dating scan took an hour, etc). Any pattern has gone completely out the window but luckily the movements are frequent enough that I always know he/she is around.

I have never felt movements when my babys have had their feet/arms inwards. And each baby is definitely VERY different so try not to compare too much with DC1.

Second baby .
Anterior placenta
I didn't feel anything until 19 weeks. And even then it was the odd movement every few days or so.

Its only now at 28 weeks that I've really started to feel a lot of movement.
She has been non stop for a few days now .
I phoned the midwife yesterday who said a pattern develops around weeks 28-31 usually
16 weeks is very very early

I also felt my first at 19 weeks. Both anterior placentas
