Very still baby at 13 week scan is it normal?

My sonographer commented on how still my baby was at my 13 week scan, is this normal? I've seen a lot of posts about wriggly babies at scans and I'm worried that there is something wrong? She said I had an exceptionally clear scan because the baby was so still.

There's nothing wrong 😊
My last baby I actually had to get up and do star jumps at both my 12 and 20 week scans because they wouldn't move 😂

It’s fine and completely normal. Far more normal than an active baby. Babies don’t just sleep after they are born but spend most of their time in the womb sleeping as well.

At this stage yes its normal if later pregnancy then no they don't spend most of the time sleeping

I was told to go and have a coffee and then come back at my 12 week scan. DD is now 16.

At my 12,20 and another private scan my LO was always quite still. I feel cheated that I never got to see him wiggling round in there haha! Ds is now 6 months old and doesn't stop moving! Good luck!
