Wet patches in underwear & yellow (14 weeks pregnant)

Hi all
Ever since I’ve been pregnant I noticed my urine is yellow and when I wipe (assuming this is from folic acid & vitamin d tablets - now only take vitamin d).
Over the last few days I’ve noticed I keep getting small wet patches in my underwear, no smell from what I can tell. I’ve started wearing a panty liner just to make it a little more comfortable and looks to also be a yellow colour (same as urine).
I did call EPU as I was worried it could be leaking antibiotic fluid or something but she wasn’t concerned as I hadn’t had a gush etc..

Is this normal? I’ve read a few ladies have said they have experienced ‘watery discharge’ around this stage but it’s very new to me! Should I continue with vitamin D tablets too?

Thanks in advance x

I had this and went to the triage and they told me it was discharge.

I wasn’t so sure so went back to another hospital the following day and found out my waters had ruptured and baby was ok but there was NO water surrounding him.

Had baby 3 weeks later

I would get checked out to be in the safe side.

I was 21 weeks pregnant and had baby at 24 weeks.

@Csks I’ve had this since about 12 weeks and am still getting it now (20 weeks). I just get small wet patches in my underwear from time to time, but it’s different to discharge which usually has a creamy texture and sits more on top of my underwear rather than soaking through. It’s worried me a few time’s but I’ve mentioned it to my GP and midwife and both said sounds like watery discharge. I’ll also had a swap for infections and a few ultrasounds since it started and all looks fine, so assume it is just discharge! Mine tends to dry cloudy/white though, not yellow x

Also yellow when you wipe will just be urine - your body gets rid of excess vitamins via your urine and it makes it bright yellow, but nothing to worry about x

If yellow almost certainly urine. Not glamorous but it's easy to leak without realising. I definitely find it is a more yellow/green colour after taking pregnancy vitamins. I did get clear watery discharge that was enough to run down my legs at around 24 weeks - I went to day unit and got tested. It was fine - just discharge not urine or amniotic fluid - but was glad I got tested because of the colour (clear) and volume (ran down to my knees - nice!). I still get watery discharge on the daily now (37 weeks). So long as it is a small amount and yellow/white I don't worry about it.

If it is yellow it is more than likely urine however I would speak to epu again and get them to check it. With my dd at 33 weeks I complained about feeling damp below all the time I too was told it won't be waters due to no gush, I went in at 34 weeks for a growth scan as dd was measuring very small, they then noticed barely any fluid around her. I was induced 2 weeks later which failed so she was born via a section. They tried to fob me off when it happened again with ds but I stood up for myself and was right again. Best to get checked out.

Yes, the vitamins make my wee fluorescent too.

And I also had wet patches, it’s just increased discharge, one of the many pregnancy joys.

I've had this pretty much all through pregnancy, the yellow i think is from my pregnancy multi vit and additional vit d I've been prescribed so urine looks incredibly bright! Increased discharge is very common and I noticed a lot more after being for a walk or something. If you're concerned maybe just speak to your midwife and they'll be able to hopefully put your mind at ease Smile
