TMI!! Bleeding - picture in comments!!
I’m 12 days late, and I got this bleeding this morning, I first noticed a tiny bit at 3am, I put a pad on and went back too bed, it’s now 12:45pm, this picture was from 09:30am and I’ve not had anymore bleeding since, not on my pad or nothing. The amount in this photo is the biggest I’ve had, I’m never late and never had this... getting kind of pulling pains in my lower belly and sharp twinges in my sides too, mainly my right side.
I’ve taken tests this morning but they’re only showing VFL and with being 12 days late I thought it would’ve been darker, need advice please. What does this look like?? It’s a lot lighter in colour and it’s gooey?
UPDATE: it’s now half 5pm the next day (13 days late) not done another test, the bleeding has still not shown again but been cramping in lower back. Have a feeling I ovulated way later than I suspected?
Tests taken yesterday... Never had implantation bleeding with my first hence why I’m concerned as don’t know what too look for.
Thank You In Advance X

Hey! Congratulations!
When I was pregnant last year I bled like this on and off for the first 8 weeks. I didn't realise that light bleeding in pregnancy is actually really common so try not to worry too much. (Easier said than done for sure I know)

My doctor said implantation bleeding can last for a good few weeks after! Hopefully you just ovulated later than you originally thought. Do you have any more tests to do tomorrow or could you ask the docs for a blood test at all?

annalisesmx · 16/03/2021 23:08

@Danidandan thank you so much for taking the time too reply❤️I honestly didn't know this, never had it with my first haha. I am hopefully getting tests in the post tomorrow so will go from there!

Doctors want my bloods doing but haven't booked me in for an appointment yet, waiting on a letter to come through the post.

Do you think it's a high chance I could be?xx

Please ring your gp and request to get your hcg levels checked and then repeated after 48 hours to make sure they are doubling just to be on the safe side. Might be absolutely nothing to worry about and many women have spotting during pregnancy. But could also be possible signs of a ectopic pregnancy (faint test, irregular bleeding and pain) x

If I'm reading right, you're 12 days late but haven't had a positive test? I'd ask for this to be moved to Conception. Pregnancy isn't the right board.

@indemMUND thank you, so sorry! xx

Your tests don't look positive to me. That is what implantation bleeding can look like but usually 12 days late you would see a dark line.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 17/03/2021 07:22

There are a few possibilities @annalisesmx

  1. you ovulated later than you thought, are pregnant and this is implantation spotting. If this is the case the tests get darker and yay. GP bloods will show hcg rising.
  2. you ovulated late or not at all and this is a period or breakthrough bleeding (can be weird and spotting if no ovulation). Occasional cycles with no ovulation are common in completely healthy women so no worries.
  3. this is a chemical pregnancy. In that case you'll get a clearer line on your preg test then bleeding, which will then result in a negative no line test. Hcg bloods will drop over time.

Unfortunately like the PP I cant see lines on those tests, but I know they can be hard to photo. A FRER might help clarify if there is a line there at all

Danidandan · 17/03/2021 13:25

@annalisesmx I thought I could see a super faint line in the darkened pictures! Sorry if I jumped the gun a bit. But stay positive, try and get the blood work done at your GP to find out for sure and maybe retest in a few days. But if you are pregnant and you're lightly bleeding, it's not always something to worry about 😊 keep us posted!

@Danidandan I'm waiting on the ambulance too come because gp are being rubbish and I'm really cramping. Bleeding a little bit it's really light bleeding :( xx
