I posted previously about NCT classes and have booked the official course (at a cost of £200!). The class is local, but covers a wider area (I'm in a village next to a very large, not great town). However, I just found a class in my local village that is a midwife led, two day course. I'm now undecided which to go for (subject to NCT cancellation terms).
The NCT class is over 4 days, so I imagine more in depth, it's nationally recognised and covering a wider area opens up to more people. The local classes are half price, but also only two days.
Do I look to cancel the NCT classes and go for the local ones? The local ones are quite new so don't really have any reviews online yet.
