Hello,

I'm an anxious mess after two mc in a row over the last 7 months. I just got my HCG results and they came in at 276. This seems so low to me... with my one successful pregnancy they came back at 1,100 at a similar time.

Can anyone reassure me? The thought of waiting til Friday for repeats is agonising.

That seems fine to me. 4 weeks is between 5 and 430 and 5 weeks is between 18 and 7000. Roughly.

The number itself isn't important. Its how it increases that's important.
My first baby I had higher end levels of hcg and ended in miscarriage.
My second baby, who is now 8, was always a lower end but they doubled fine.
Thats the important thing.

Hi OP, my understanding is that the number doesn't really matter, it's about whether the HCG level increases by 50% in 48 hours.

I made a friend at EPU 2 years ago who's level was around 200 when mine was 2,000 and our dates were the exact same. She went on to have a baby from that pregnancy and I didn't so the actual number is not indicative of what is going on.

At 4 weeks you'd expect the levels to be between 5 - 426 and at 5 weeks between 19 and 7,340.

Thank you so much for your replies, @SnooperTrooper12345 @RizzleRazzle I do feel a bit better after reading what you've said (although sorry to read about your losses).

I think I'm fixated on comparing this pregnancy to DD - her HCG at a similar time came back as 1267 - which now seems crazy high for 4 weeks... maybe I misheard the gp at the time?!

The wait until the next lot is agonising. I really don't think I can do this again if it's another mc.

Yes, 1200 odd is very high for 4 weeks.
