Anterior placenta and first movements

Hi
Can I ask if you have had an anterior placenta when you first felt movements? Currently 19 weeks and don't think I'm feeling any yet.. this will hopefully be baby number 2.. I can't remember when I first felt ds though I think it was closer to 20 weeks. After 3 mmc previously I know I'm pretty anxious about it all anyway..

Had anterior placenta with 1st and sure it was after 20 weeks I felt any proper movement as I remember seeing her on the scan and thinking that’s amazing she’s moving around and I cannot feel her at all Shock I had felt little sensations before then but they were so small I couldn’t have told you if they were the baby or gas

First two pregnancies felt movements extremely early, DS3 was an anterior placenta and he started kicking (That I could truly distinguish) around 21 weeks. Don’t be worried, although it’s absolutely understandable with what you’ve been through. Stay positive, it will happen soon you’ll see 🦶 🦶 💓

I was around 18 weeks for first flutters and around 22 weeks for first proper kicks and movement x

16 weeks the first time. 24 weeks the second time. Both anterior placenta.

I have an anterior placenta and was about 19 weeks when I started to feel the tiniest little flutters, but no definitive kicks til about 22/23 weeks.

PrimeraVez · 15/03/2021 08:06

I had anterior placenta with DC1 and only felt him for definite at around 21/22 weeks.

16 weeks for first movements, now feeling proper kicks at 20 weeks with anterior placenta x

With the proper kicks, is this when your partner/So could feel baby too? Only 17 weeks with anterior, I think I have felt some popping but not everyday.

Smurf123 · 15/03/2021 08:46

Thank you all that is reassuring to hear. I had a scan at 17w and could see baby moving about but definitely wasn't feeling it. This past day or 2 I've thought maybe a couple times it could be baby moving but I couldn't be sure it's not wind or something else either.

@mamatocaptainchaos for me 'proper kicks' are the difference between pressure or rustling - I've never felt 'flutters', I'm guessing because they are to gentle to feel with anterior placenta. Some of them my DH can feel when they are really strong, some only I can feel. What I can feel is 100% kicks x

BlondePotter · 15/03/2021 09:52

It was after my 20 week scan that I started to feel like twitches and 21/22 weeks before I felt actual kicks and 23 weeks before DH felt one. Anterior placenta and 1st baby x

21+5 for a definite kick, maybe flutters before but hard to know what was gas!
