Pregnancy and dogs!

Hi guys,
I'm currently pregnant with baby number two, and my dog is so clingy - she definitely knows something is up! Everywhere I go she's no further than a foot away from me.

It's just odd as in my last pregnancy with my son, her behaviour didn't change.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm nearly 9 weeks along and saw our little babies heartbeat on a scan a few days ago, I'm wondering if it's a girl this time or if she's just more tuned in!

Maybe your dog now knows that these little changes in you that it can sense result in a baby?

My dog clearly knew early on that something was different and whilst he didn’t become more cuddle (he already is quite cuddly!) he became very overprotective when we met other dogs. A few years on and he is still quite protective although gradually getting better

My two spaniels have been acting differently and where being extra affectionate before I even knew I’m pregnant. My youngest spaniel keeps resting his head on my abdomen.

My horse is slightly worse as she didn’t want any of the herd near me she’s very overprotective.
