Morning ❤️

I wondered if any of you new mums to be have had achy legs in early pregnancy?

It's driving me crazy! It's like a dull ache in both legs, I'm not overweight but I suffered badly with SPD and aches in later pregnancy with my last but that was over 8 years ago now!

Hi there,

I’m really not sure if you’ll see this reply but I’m hoping that you will. Did you ever manage to get to the bottom of what caused this? I’m 5 weeks and in this exact situation. I suffered with severe SPD in my pregnancy 7 years ago and also suffered with it in my last pregnancy 2 years ago but not as bad. Either way I’ve never had this ache before especially this early on. I have a google and nothing seems to help so I made a profile to specifically reply to you snd see if you found out why!

Thank you and I hope your pregnancy is going well!!!

My legs ached during my third pregnancy, I was only in my twenties The outcome was varicose veins. I wish I had known I needed to go for a good walk everyday and keep the blood flowing. My legs ached sitting as a passenger in the car and i felt I needed to raise them to stop the ache.

Towards the end of my pregnancy I was struggling, I was healthy enough but felt exhausted. I wondered how I would get through the birth. I was a good weight, fit looking, ate healthy and my older children were at school, (they are 8 and 6 years older than my youngest child). I took up yoga, I was careful but it really helped me feel a lot better.

Doctors don’t seem to know much about prevention.
