Painful lump on back of wrist

A lump came up on the back of my wrist on Wednesday/Thursday. It’s painful, my wrist hurts when I move it. It hurts to touch.
Is this something I should get checked out? Or will it go away on its own?

Has anyone had similar?

It'll be nothing, but of course contact your GP.

I had a (harmless) lump on my arm, which grew during pregnancy. I think all those growth hormones knocking around in my body caused it to get bigger.

Could be a ganglion cyst- they’re harmless and they often form on the bask of the wrist.

But it’s best get it checked out, especially as your pg.

Thanks ladies. Think it’s worth waiting for the gp to open Monday or should I phone out of hours? It hurts but it’s manageable and I’m not totally concerned about it

You’re obviously worried and in pain OP so I would call 111 and ask for advice.

Agree with PP, could well be a ganglion which is harmless and won't be related to pregnancy
