fibre one bars dangerous? panicking...

so i've had a couple of fibre one bars over the last couple of days and i've only just read that they contain chicory root or something like that? apparently it can be really dangerous, of course i'm a major worrier so now i'm panicking i've done harm!! any reassurance?

You'll be fine. I would think you would have to eat massive amounts for it to be a problem. If it was really dangerous for pregnant women there would be a warning on the packet!

Highly unlikely to contain enough to be dangerous, if you were eating box upon box then maybe you should be worried.

Avoid them going forward if you are worried though.

I had similar panics in my first trimester with oat milk which also contains chicory root, amongst lots of other little panics with other foods.

Eventually I had to pull myself together and now only follow the NHS or Tommy's site guidelines. Truth is that Google will tell you anything can be lethal if you search hard enough so it's not worth it.

I've never heard of this and have happily eaten several a week throughout my pregnancy. 32 weeks now and my little one is happily wriggling away so I don't think they've done him any harm ☺️
