Just wondering if anyone has a similar situation or may be able to shed some light. I came off the pill in May 2020 to TTC (had been on pill for maybe 14 years solid) and every single month since then I have been spotting up for 1 week (initially was 6-8 days before, now tends to be 5 days before) my period seemingly starts. The period is then usually 3-4 days. Based on this I calculated my cycles being 28 or 30 days long. However, I am concerned that given it is literally every month that I get several days of brown spotting before supposed start of period that I have completely miscalculated and my period is actually starting with day 1 of spotting. If this is the case my periods are very irregular and can actually be 9, 10 or even 11 days long!! I checked the lengthy spotting out with a doc pretty early on maybe 3 months into TTC who honestly wasn't that helpful when I asked about my serial spotting (I originally worried I had a short luteal phase or low progesterone) she just gave me this blood test on day 2 of your cycle to check I guess your hormone levels which came back ok (but I am now thinking perhaps it wasn't my true day 2 as I assumed it was my second day of consistent red bleeding I did not include my brown spotting). It's 10 months of TTC now so I guess back to doc if 12 months and no TTC for possible fertility checking but I just wondered if there's anyone out there with lengthy luteal spotting/long period with several light spotting days followed by a few proper red consistent bleeding days. Starting to genuinely worry that I have low fertility due to this issue, but not much consensus on internet as seems very hard to determine if brown pre period spotting is actually spotting or your period and therefore start of next cycle. Each time I keep tormenting myself thinking what if it's 'implantation bleeding' this time but of course it never is. Thanks for reading anyway!
