Has any one recently sent application? How long until you heard back etc? It suggests not calling for 4 weeks but has any one been longer/quicker?

Thanks ladies

Hi just an update, I sent off my maternity allowance forms around the same time as you. I got a text on the 2nd March saying they'd received them and would send a decision within 4 weeks and got my first payment through today Smile

Honeydukesmum · 12/03/2021 17:35

@lucymagoo that’s fab news :) did you get any notification that decision had been made or money just went in?

No notification or communication after that text on the 2nd! I just got a banking app notification of it

Honeydukesmum · 12/03/2021 18:01

@lucymagoo thank you . Hopefully that means mine is on way soon ( may be after weekend) 🤞🤞 I’ve assumed I’ll hear something re acceptance first . I’ll update as soon as I know any thing :)

@Honeydukesmum I got sent a letter explaining how they worked it out, how much I'd be getting and when. Hopefully you get the full amount as mine worked out lower 90% wage!!!

Honeydukesmum · 12/03/2021 19:21

@Phie04 it’s so strange how different each case is , letter or no letter etc and how they work out amounts. I’ll let you know what they say. It nerve wracking 🙈

@phie04 were you still working when applied? Wondering if it different if going straight to MA at 29 weeks .

I wasn't working as got made redundant. But the 13 week period of pay slips was in the last 66 weeks so it shouldn't matter if you are working or not

I sent my form away on the 15th of Feb and got a text on the 23rd of Feb saying they had received it and I would get a decision within 4 weeks. I then got a letter in on the 4th of March saying I had been accepted for the full amount. I'm due at the end of May though so put for the payments to start at the start of May as this is when I'll be starting Mat leave, I just wanted to send it away as early as I could so sent it the day after I turned 26 weeks. So all in took 2 weeks from applying to getting the decision in, just hoping everything goes okay with getting the money in at the start of May!

lucymagoo · 13/03/2021 11:09

Just got a letter through confirming the amount and dates etc Smile

Honeydukesmum · 13/03/2021 11:11

Thanks ladies I’ll await a letter 🤞you’ve all been great
