Breastfeeding and pregnant and spotting

I’m checking to see if anyone has any experience with this.
I had a chemical pregnancy in late December and then was pregnant straight away at the end of January.
With the chemical I started spotting which within 4 or 5 days turned to a period like bleed.
With this pregnancy, I believe I’m 8 weeks today. I’ve had on and off brown spotting for the last 3 to 4 weeks. The last week it’s been increasing but I would say it’s not heavy and still brown. No cramps.

However My complication is I’m still breastfeeding my 15 month old. I know some mums continue to breastfeed while pregnant, but wondering if anyone has experience of being pregnant and spotting while breastfeeding, and did you continue to do so.

Hi so my LO is 17 months and we are still breastfeeding. I did have implantation bleeding and a few bits of spotting after that but none otherwise (I'm still very early days). I haven't heard of spotting being related to breastfeeding before so will be interested what others have to say.

Have you spoke to a midwife ?

@Tryingtobehelpfulmama I haven’t heard of spotting being related to breastfeeding but wondered if there was a link.
I never thankfully had a pregnancy before my baby that wasn’t successful so was oblivious to what can go wrong. But with the chemical last time and spotting this time I’m nervous.
I had to postpone the midwife appointment by a couple of weeks while I wait for a follow up scan. I had an early scan due to the spotting but it put me later in terms of weeks than I thought I was and I was using ovulation sticks. So am doubly nervous.

I've heard people here talk about spotting throughout pregnancy due to cervical changes, and that's just normal for some women. If you can get another scan and everything is ok I'd assume it's all going to be fine.

I do wonder how I'll manage to carry on breastfeeding when a new baby comes along. LO is boob mad so I don't see how I'll get her off
