Pram and car seat combos

I think I've found a pram I really like and a car seat, only problem is that there different makes and I don't know if they are compatible.
The car seat is a maxi cosi tinca which apparently is very new and the pram is the icandy peach all terrain, both companies are telling me there too new so can't help me.

How am I meant to find out?!!

Keeping baby in the carseat for long periods is not good for them so it's better not to attach them to prams anyway.

It wouldn't be for long periods of time, just if I had to nip out briefly, easier using that than moving out of car seat into pram back into car seat 🙂

Not that much hassle transferring them to a normal pram, I did it with our twins.

I ended up opting for a panorama XT travel system which comes with its own car seat that can attach to the pram base too. I’ve then ordered an isofix car seat for 9months up until 12 years (they claim). I would’ve bought separate but I just wanted an easy time with being able to put the car seat on the pram for when I quickly nip to the shop! I struggled to figure out if I could use a different car seat with a different pram unless the car seat came as a travel system because of adapters connecting them

Ah right okay, I just want a bit of ease aswell! It's each to there own on things like this, some people don't like/see the point of travel systems others think there a good idea!

Before lockdown I visited a pram shop and the tinca is the car seat they sell along side the icandy peach, i'm not 100% sure about the all terrain version.

Moominmiss · 26/02/2021 18:39

I’ve been trying to find out the same information but for the Egg pram.

Everything I can find suggests that if the pram you’re looking at has the option to have maxi cosi car seat adaptors, that the tinca should be compatible.

I don't know about the newest models but the older Maxi Cosi car seats (Cabriofix / Pebble) are compatible with iCandy prams.

@Chelyanne everyone has their own opinions on what's convenient. Just b cause you did it with your kids doesn't mean other people would prefer or found it easier to do it with theirs.

If I had to pop into a shop for 15 minutes i preferred to do it in the car seat. Especially if the baby was asleep.

The shops were 5 minutes drive from my house and I would have been in and out under half an hour.

There's a shop called babylady on the social media platforms that seems pretty good at answering questions like this you could try her x
