Empty Gestational Sac on 5 week 2 Day scan

Hi All, I've already seen a few threads but I'm hoping it's therapeutic to ask my own version of the question. I went to an urgent treatment centre on Friday night with Right side sharp cramping and brown spotting - I was unable to be seen until Monday morning - a vaginal scan showed an empty gestational Sac - the technician was very negatove and instantly asked if I needed my own room to wait to see the Nurse; stating only that she can see a sac and it might be fluid filled - the nurse thought it's just two early and I have a repeat scan in 10 days. I'm going out my mind and just hoping and praying it's too early! Any one had a positive outcome from a similar situation? I've already had one blighted Ovum..

Hi Op, sorry this is happening to you. I would say that I had bleeding in my pregnancy. Went for a early scan at 5+4 and they only saw the sac. The sonographer was really lovely (she was training a student). She said it was too early, to go away, assume I was pregnant, some back in 10 days and see what we could see then. I did just that and saw a little heart beat (measured 7 weeks exactly) I’m now 21 weeks pregnant and it’s been eventless since. It may be that you are just to early and the sonographer reaction hasn’t helped. Good luck xx

Thank you! I realy appreciate your story fingers and toes crossed we are in the same boat - it's so true that the reaction or tone of the person influences the way you feel - I'm certain that's whats causing the majority of my anxiety xx
