Hi guys, I’m stm and 12 weeks, first scan due end of this week. A routine blood test has coming back showing I have adnormalities with my liver and I now need a liver scan and another blood test ASAP. I’m panicking that there is something really badly wrong with my liver but I’m hoping it’s just related to the pregnancy hormones no believe it’s called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. Has anyone had this themselves and can share their stories to stop me from completely freaking out further 😭

I've not had it but a colleague had it with both of hers, Mum and both babies are fine Smile

I had it. Wasn't picked up until later in the pregnancy. Was medicated for a while until my levels went a bit nuts. Was induced at 38 weeks. Baby was fine

I had ICP - was diagnosed at 35 weeks and induced at 37 weeks as I had quite a severe case. I experienced itching (which is a common symptom); it wasn't pleasant, but all I was fine in the end. Absolutely no problems for my baby.

Had it with both pregnancies and had regular blood tests throughout and monitoring. Raised levels and high blood pressure meant I had my DC a little early but everyone okay and am currently homeschooling two noisy boys.
