Has anyone fallen pregnant after having Covid infection?

Hi,

Just trying to gauge how long I should wait between my Covid infection in early January, and my embryo transfer.

I had Covid in the first week of January, thankfully wasn’t hit too hard. I’m hoping to have embryo transfer in May.

Those that have conceived post Covid infection, how long has passed between infection and pregnancy?

I am fairly sure I had covid last year in April, early part of the month but no testing available to public then. I conceived (via embryo transfer) in
July. It never occurred to me about leaving any gap and no one ever mentioned it, I don’t think it’s an issue but you can always double check with your clinic. You never know when you might get it again anyway so..

Good luck!

As far as I'm aware, there is no need to take a gap

Thanks very much. Should have pointed out that it’s impossible for me to transfer sooner as the Country that my embryos are in has banned us!

Hoping for the opportunity in May, but it crossed my mind that I didn’t actually know of anyone who has conceived after having Covid (No idea if any of them are trying) and it struck me that you might need to leave a bit of a gap to get your body back in order?

My period post Covid was super weird - very light.

I had it quite badly back in April last year (still can’t taste or smell much at all 😭). Im currently pregnant having come off the pill in December! I haven’t really heard anything about there being issues so hopefully there aren’t any links between covid and conception. Wishing you lots of luck x

@cams88, my sense of smell is still absolutely buggered from April last year too. Some of it is back but kind of muffled, then a lot is distorted in horrible ways! I feel for you, it’s shit! The strange thing is that was pretty much my only symptom, I was never ill at all.

OP, it must be so frustrating not being able to access the clinic, I hope you get some clarification on that soon. I think it would be fair to reopen travel for that kind of medical treatment sooner than tourism.

I had COVID at the very start of December and my last period started on 29th Dec - so I fell pregnant at some point in Jan :)

I didn't have many symptoms; a little bit of a cough and fatigue, neither lasted long.

Good luck with everthing!

Thank you very much, I massively appreciate the replies.

@Inkpaperstars Honestly, it’s been the most stressful, heartbreaking mess. I just hope I can get over there soon. Thank you for your kind words Flowers
