Hi all, I'm newly pregnant. I am about 2-3weeks gone so super early. I conceived about 5 years ago in 2015 but had a chemical pregnancy, losing it at just about 4 weeks and im so terrified its going to happen again, its like every cramp or bit of discharge i get, I worry that "THIS IS IT".

I know everyone is different but can I ask what was nornal for you ladies? I get cramps that feel a bit like period cramps sporadically throughout the day and I also get pink discharge sometimes but mostly mucus looking discharge. Im just trying to calm my anxiety a bit so I can enjoy my pregnancy 😊

Thank you

Period type cramps are normal as long as they're not accompanied by blood.

Brown discharge is also quite normal however, that's always something to get checked out. Most people get this though especially between 5 and 7 weeks.

Symptoms coming and going or just disappearing altogether is also normal and something people panic about. Having no symptoms at all is also normal and says nothing about the viability of the pregnancy ❤️

Hope this helps a little.
Congratulations ❤️

Thank you!

No there's no bloody my discharge is either mucus like or can be pinkish which, given how early i am I think may still be the implantation stages occurring. I have to speak to my GP Monday to make arrangements for all my appts going forward so that will give me some focus.

I think alot of my issue is paranoia from previous MC so I'm trying to relax and enjoy it ❤

I understand. I've had 2 myself and even now at 34 weeks with my 3rd child after my miscarriages, I'm still anxious and expect blood every time I go to the toilet!

I'm 14 weeks now, I haven't had any bleeding or discharge at any time but I do get cramps and twinges.

Sometimes it's like period pain in a low band across pretty much at the top of my knicker line. When I was roughly 8-10 weeks I started getting twinges that feel like I've pulled a muscle in the same area or a stomach or hip muscle. They're sudden and don't stay for long if at all, and happen when I twist or get up suddenly. From what I understand it's because of all the ligaments relaxing and muscle parting to make was for the baby. It was be a bit scary but if there's no bleeding and they don't last long I think it's normal

Thank you so much. Its just a very anxious time for me as my only experience ended really quite traumatically so I'm trying to control a situation I know I can't control. It really helps knowing that people do get the same types of cramps as me, as I makes me normalise it in my brain. No blood, but I do get mucus type discharge which I've heard is quite normal and will increase as I progress!

Congrats on your pregnancy! This will be my first so I'm both scared and really excited at the same time. Im just trying to enjoy all these little things that are new to me now Grin

Completely understand your anxiety. I'm 33 weeks now, but the anxiety of the first trimester was overwhelming.

Cramping, for me, was normal throughout pregnancy. This felt like menstrual cramps at best. But I had a scare where the pain was deep and running down my legs. I had 3 large (7cm) cysts on either side on my ovaries.

I also spotted twice during the first trimester. Once at 4 weeks (dunno whether that was implantation bleeding? Is that even a thing?) and again at 9 weeks. The latter one my midwife believes is because I have cervical erosion.

Don't be embarrassed about calling 111 for a referral to Early Pregnancy Unit. They took me seriously, did beta tests and scanned me 3 times.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Its really hard not to worry and I just really want to enjoy it but the anxiety that comes with finding out is very overwhelming. Im worried about what I can eat, what I shouldn't be doing, every little thing I'm on edge about. Its rediculous really but I've waited along time for my turn so I'm just trying to embrace it. So glad your pregnancy has progressed so well!!! Congratulations on your little one soon being with you Grin
