5-6 weeks approx empty sac.

Hello ,
I went for a early scan due to some very light spotting which I did experience in my first pregnancy (my little girl is now 2)
They did an internal scan and explained that at the time they could only see a sac at the time but nothing in there .
I didn't have much explained to me , but she said to come back in 2 weeks .
I know that I ovulated quite late 18th day of my cycle as I used a ovulation stick.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this ?

Thank you too @MollySxx and I'm pleased you now have a yolk sac as that definitely shows there's progression. I think general rule of thumb is they expect 1mm growth per day, but every pregnancy is different (just like every baby once they're out earth side) and I really hope it's just a slow grower and you'll have positive news at the next scan. I am sorry you're in for another fortnight of limbo though- it's so excruciating. Let us know how you get on at the next scan xx

Well I'm a month on after my miscarriage at 3 months 1 day and got my 1st period.. So at least for dating purposes I have that... Well I had a baby at 17 and one at 20 and it all seemed so easy roll on to 42 and conceiving is easy it's maintaining a pregnancy am healthier than ever but my body is older... For me I think it would be a miracle to have another child now X

I'm 9 weeks pregnant again and having an early scan tomorrow.. hope it works this time I'm 42 so keeping an open mind.

Another miscarrage for me xxx

The wait is horrendous… I went to the hospital yesterday as my private scan on Tuesday was showing me at 5-6 weeks with an empty sac and I’m meant to be 7-8. I’ve had no cramping or bleeding. They did abdominal and TV scans, both showing the same, an empty sac but said it’s showing like a 5-6 week pregnancy right now. I have to go back in a week for a re-scan. So scared and confused and feel none the wiser. I did a clear blue when I got back home yesterday, and it’s showing 3+ Weeks to add to the confusion. 3+ would make me potentially 5-6 like the scan shows, but how can it be so far out based on my dates?! I know there’s possibility of blighted ovum or miscarriage. More waiting I guess…

LMP: 28.11.21
Positive ovulation test: 16.12.21
Cycle length: 34ish days
First positive preg test: 28.12.21
