Harmony test - anyone had to have a re-test because they can't find DNA?

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help. I had my 12 week scan last Wednesday and saw the healthy baby kicking around. As I'd had a MMC before, my husband and I decided to go for the Harmony test to check all was well.
But I had a phone call today to say they haven't been able to find the baby's DNA in my first blood sample so are having to re-test with the second sample.
I'm starting to really worry as I've read online this can mean there are chromosomal issues with the baby. Has anyone had a similar experience and got a result on the second test? I'm starting to really freak out.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi, I had to retest twice and they still couldn’t get enough DNA from my blood. You will need to wait a couple of weeks each time, so you will probably get your combined test results back by then. I was offered a third test, but got a low result from the NHS combined test beforehand so decided to leave it and get a partial refund. Apparently it just doesn’t work for some people! I have also had three miscarriages prior to this, so was concerned there would be an issue in terms of foetal abnormalities, but felt reassured by the NHS test.

@Grognonne I’m sorry to hear your experience, must’ve been so frustrating having to wait all that time. Good you were able to get the NHS test and a partial refund.

I was lucky they managed to find the DNA from the second sample in the end and it was low probability so I’m so relieved! I can relax a little now x

Yes I've had three harmony tests for three kids. On DC too I had to go back a few weeks later to give more blood . As I recall, the first time I was a bit dehydrated and they struggled to get blood. Second time was fine and got enough DNA.
