10 week scan - concerning thing to mention?

I had a 10 week scan (due to some recent pain) today. I'm carrying twins and the Sonographer said everything looked as it should for now (put pain down to body adjusting to twins).
However, she made a comment about skin not forming over their intestines yet and that this is quite common at this gestation. I didn't think much about it at the time but may have since googled and got myself into a bit of a state! I keep wondering why she would mention it if it's nothing to be concerned about yet, especially as both are so small so I couldn't really see anything for her to make a point about it..
Has anyone experienced anything similar or know more about this please?

Thank you @Loti92 Smile

Yes I think the Sonographer meant exactly the same as yours and that it hadn't got into their stomach yet. There were no mention of any problems and everything was 'normal' for 10 weeks but I just thought it was strange to make a thing of it? Like saying please don't worry but I am going to give you some information to make you lol.

I'm due for my dating scan in two weeks. Do you remember at what date you had to return for your scan?

I had an early scan at 8 weeks and the sonographer mentioned it in conversation to me too . I think it was just to give an interesting fact kind of thing . She said they were currently on the outside and would be on the inside when I had my 12 week scan which they were Smile

Sorry just realised my early scan was at 10 weeks not 8 so exactly the same as you! I honestly wouldn’t worry x
