Slow rising hcg levels. Ectopic?

Hi, basically what’s happened is I was 10 days late for my period and took 5 pregnancy tests over those 10 days, which all turned out to be negative. Then on the 11th day I had light pink spotting, and then on the 12th day I had bright red bleeding for 3 days, I assumed this was my period as that’s how long they usually last.

Now a week later (Wednesday 10th) when I thought everything was fine I started having painful cramping and light pink bleeding. I had a spare pregnancy test and decided to take it and it came back positive. I bought and took a digital test, which told me I was 2-3 weeks, and then took the other the day after which told me I was 1-2.

Due to this and the bleeding, cramps and negative tests I decided to call the EPAU for a blood test and they invited me the next day. So I had one on Saturday 13th and one today Monday 15th. My first hcg level came back as 135, and my second came back as 185. So it has risen but hasn’t doubled or risen by 60%. I now have to go back on Wednesday at 2pm for another blood test to see how much my levels have increased.

I’m just wondering if anyone thinks this sounds like an ectopic pregnancy, or if anyone has had any similar experiences that either went positively or negatively. I was ttc, but will be very sad and disappointed if it turns out to be an ectopic. Don’t worry about worrying me, I really want honest opinions and experiences. Please help!!! Smile

@AdriaticPen hi so sorry for the late reply. Sadly mine ended in a miscarriage, I ended up having quite a large blood clot that passed, and it was later confirmed through a negative pregnancy test.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I know how frustrating and confusing it can be not knowing what’s going on, but I really hope it ends positively for you! Big hugs and all my love

Hope you’re okay, I’m sorry for your loss too. It’s incredibly painful no matter how many weeks along you were
