HCG level of 157

So, a quick history check. I have had 3 miscarriages in the space of 7 months. All at 6/7 weeks mark. One being a chemical pregnancy.

I am now pregnant again, I am in the process of being prescribed 400mg progesterone to take until 16 weeks. My doctors however is being difficult in complying with my consultants advice in prescribing me it. But that’s another story. I had a beta HCG blood test done on Friday and my doctor texted me the result today, and yes text message. And the level was 157, I was 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant at the time of having it. I am now 5 weeks today. He didn’t give any context behind that number result, didn’t say retest to compare numbers to see if it’s rising or not. So I’m left really confused. Is it good? Is it bad?

It's fine. If you look at this chart you will see that 157 for your stage of pregnancy is within normal range. You could have follow up tests to check that your HCG is doubling every 2-3 days which is indicative of a normally developing pregnancy but I tend to think there isn't much point in monitoring that closely in most cases (unless for example there is concern that the pregnancy is ectopic). @Polly99 really was in a panic over it as I said above my GP texted me and didn’t give much context behind the result. So suddenly I was filled with panic. I asked if they would retest to compare if it’s rising, but he’s refused that as said they wouldn’t normally unless told by my specialist. But as far as I know, I don’t have a specialist. I thought my GP was my specialist

Hello everyone. I am currently pregnant but im having troubles caculating how many weeks i am. My first beta was 83 and my second was 157. my second beta was 157 and i was 4weeks and 6days pregant. is that a normal HCG level.?

Hi people. Littlw backstory. Had sex on 19th December (nothing since) found out i was pregnant even though i took the morning after pill. On the 9th jan i started bleeding (red blood) for 3-4 days and felt like period cramps (mc)
im still getting positive tests a week and half later. Doctors couldnt see a pregnancy on the scan and my hcg levels were 83. Im hoping and praying it isnt ectopic and that its just taking time for my hormones to settle and then eventually get a negative test. Please someone tell me if they can relate. I know it sounds harsh but im praying they tell me it was a miscarriage and not ectopic. I have really bad anxiety and this is driving me mad.
