Has anyone had polyhydramnios/extra fluid around baby?

Could you tell me what tests they did and what happened? This was found at our 20 week scan and we’ve been referred to Fetal medicine

Yes, with my ds who is now 7. They did the torch test, tested for toxoplasmosis and something else I've forgotten. They offered to do an amnio which I declined and I had lots of scans to measure the fluid.

I was just given growth scans to monitor it. Mine was put down to having big babies.
Didn't cause any problems but was like a waterfall when waters were broken.
I had it with 2 singletons quite bad (natural deliveries) and one of my twins more mild (cesarean).

Thanks both! I’ll hopefully be seeing someone in Fetal medicine next week. I am worried though as it seems quite early to have it. I’m thinking about getting NIPT tests for peace of mind to rule out genetic reasons for it

I can't remember when I started with it. Definitely after 20 weeks, probably 24. I don't know how they measure the severity but I was measuring 52 weeks at my 34 week midwife appointment so I think I must have had it quite badly. I shrank to 39 when my waters broke a week later. The consultant told me I still had loads of fluid when she did my c-section and ds was born weighing 7lb 2oz.
