Hi ladies I've just signed up to this channel and I've read so many reviews which have really helped meSmile
I recently had MC at 11 wks, the pregnancy was not planned but now I really want a baby. The MC was really a hard and painful experience. I have 2 kids already aged 3 and 5.
My period hasnt started yet and the ovulation and pregnancy test still say positive so I'm sure my hormones need time to set back.
I would appreciate any similar experiences qnd advise.
Just wanted to know the best time ttc as I'm thinking of my age Hmm and what supplement should I take to help. I wanted to try again as soon as the pregnancy test say negative as I heard after a MC one is very fertile but my doc said for me to wait for my first period. I've started taking folic acid and will start victamin d soon. I've heard pregnacare and seven seas folic messes up ones period. Thanks ladies Flowers

They only tell you to wait to make the dates easier - I asked when this happened to me (also aged 36) and when pressed the Dr said it was about mental health and understanding dates rather than anything physical. It actually helped me to be close to DH and to feel like I was doing something to move on. It always took me a couple of cycles after losses to conceive again though. The only other supplement I took (apart from folic acid and vitD) was omega 3 - I read somewhere that one consultant in the US thought it could reduce incidence of MC. Probably mumbo jumbo but I probably don't have enough in my diet and thought it wouldn't hurt!

@BlueberryPancake21 Thanks hun. Read as well that it's best to wait for the lining to heal etc. Sorry about your MC. Will see how it goes xxx

Once you get negative tests (mine took 3 weeks after mc at 9wk in July) you can start ttc as soon as you like. Midwives/doctors prefer you to wait until after you have a period for dating purposes.

So I had my most recent mc July, dh didn't want to ttc straight away. I got my bfp with current pregnancy in December, booking apps in Jan and dating scan this week (13+3wk atm).

Good luck ttc and with future pregnancies.

I'm 36 too

After my 3rd mc back in 2011 I got bfp with our 3rd dc 6 weeks later.

One of my children was conceived about 2 weeks after a MC. I never had a period. (I had been told to wait 3 months)

@Chelyanne thanks so much for these words. Feeling like there is hope. Amen. Will check around 18th to make it over 3 weeks to check the test say negative. Will go from there Smile

@WildCherryBlossom thanks for your feedback. Really. Did you take any supplement or do anything different to help keep the baby this time? Did you just wait for the test to come back negative? I did read your more fertile after a mc and more chance for baby to stay full term after a mc. Thanks

I miscarried my 3rd pregnancy at 36 around 8 weeks along, my children are also the same age. I didn’t wait to try again and fell pregnant again immediately and I’m due any day now. It is unfortunately just one of those things, though awful at the time. You don’t need to wait unless there’s some specific medical reason, I was keen to try straight away due to my age, there really wasn’t any point in waiting.

@PieandMash321 wow that's amazing and encouraging thanks so much. Its about 2 weeks since the mc. Just gonna monitor everything till the end of feb. Scared to dtd with dh as I'm not sure if it's safe to fall pregnant so quickly. Since hearing your story it helps. Thank you
