When did you feel baby kicks?

18 + 2 with my first and just wondering when you felt your first kicks? I havent felt anything or if i have im not aware thats what it is

Hi OP, also pregnant with my first. I first felt movement at 18 weeks 5 days :) just small flutterings which I knew for sure was the baby and not just stomach gurgling etc! I do have an anterior placenta which apparently cushions some movement but I've felt the baby every day since.

Hi there, I'm 19wks, but with my 4th so I've been feeling things for a few weeks now. Started off like a tightening feeling, then little flutters (almost like bubbles). Now they are most definately prods/kicks/taps. But remember their skeleton is only just starting to form so aren't really strong enough to properly punch! And it depends where your placenta is (mines posterior so nothing in the way!).
Plus, your tummy muscles are a lot stronger than mine!
I think with my first i was around the 20wk mark when I certain it was what I was feeling.
Try laying still in quietness, perhaps on your front if you can and you may be able to feel something! Xx

First baby - 16 weeks.
Second baby - 19 weeks
3rd Baby - 16 weeks

First baby - 23w (anterior placenta)
Second baby - 18w (posterior placenta)
Third baby - 16w but felt little fluttering prior but couldn’t be certain (posterior placenta)

Seems it can vary alot, hopefully i will feel something soon

@xoxochellexoxo I think a big factor is where your placenta is placed. Hopefully won’t be too long for you x

I have a private scan booked on thursday as my partners daughter would like to be there for a scan so im guessing they will tell me where my placenta is

How are people defining ‘kicks’? As I felt the fluttering and popping feeling weeks ago and it’s become stronger but does it change to feel like something more like a kick?

18+4 and nothing yet, can’t wait to feel it x

@xoxochellexoxo I'm 18+1 with first and haven't felt anything yet, I'm quite gassy though (sorry TMI) so it could be masking things. I agree things feel unreal especially these few weeks since the 12 week scan where not much is going on, I cannot wait to feel the flutters and kicks!

I started feeling this butterfly in my stomach feeling around 17 weeks. Then around 21 weeks the small flutters started. By week 25 I was getting kicks all the time. Best feeling ever!
