Twinges at 15 Weeks (Doesn't feel like Round Ligament Pain)

For the last hour or so I've been getting twinges on and off in the middle of my tummy, just below my belly button and slightly to the right. When I had my 12 week scan the sonographer did the scan on my right side, so not sure if baby could be slightly over to the right. Are the twinges normal? I've felt the odd twinge here and there before but not frequently like this. I've been getting round ligament pain too but this doesn't feel like that as it's more in the middle and twinges rather than sudden sharp pains that fade x

I'm terrible with my left and right! Twinges are actually just over to the left, and that's the side the ultrasound was done on.

Anyone?

Hi M. Your uterus will be starting to move up and out of your pelvis by around now so this could simply be down to the stretching of lots of different areas (not just the round ligaments). There's a lot going on down there so try not to worry too much, it sounds normal. CM x

@curiousmog thanks so much, I’ve not really had much in the way of twinges like this so far, so did take me by surprise. I have my 16 week appointment on Friday so will run it by my midwife anyway x

Hey, how did your appointment go?

MintGreenLife · 15/02/2021 21:58

@curiousmog thanks for getting in touch ☺️ I didn’t actually ask at my midwife appointment as I didn’t have the same twinges again. I heard the heartbeat though and everything was looking good. Have since started to feel movements too which is so lovely 💕

Best news 💕 So good to hear you're feeling happy and relaxed (I had my first movements too this week and still can't get over it!). X

@curiousmog oh that’s so wonderful! I feel like it’s such an exciting stage of pregnancy - hearing the heartbeat for the first time, feeling the first movements, and gender being possible to predict from now too 💕 are you like me and freezing on the spot every time you feel a little flutter? I’m only really feeling it when I’m sat down relaxing at the mo x

Baby seems to be liveliest in the evening and again in the early morning, both when I'm fairly stationary. It feels like a combination of little muscle spasms, njggling and bubbling! X

@curiousmog I’m finding the same in the evening, that’s when I’m noticing it the most ☺️
