Hiya

Just like the title say just looking to see when folks periods returned after an MVA? I had the procedure on 7th jan and still nothing. I’ve had mild cramps and quite a lot of CM so much so I think I’ve come on but haven’t (sorry tmi) I’ve been feeling nauseous as well so took a test on Wednesday but it was negative so I’m not pregnant. I wasn’t expecting to pregnant so soon I’d actually posted last week about that. Starting to worry that something might be wrong with no period and feeling sick. Would be good to hear other folks experiences as I tend to overthink every little thing 🙈

hi! so sorry you're going through this, hope you're ok. mine took about 40 days i think (nearly 6 weeks) to come back - so it might be a little while yet. i also had loads of strange things happening (cramps/discharge/sore boobs etc) before it arrived too so i think it was all just my hormones balancing out and getting back to normal. try to relax, it will come. unless you've been trying again, in which case i'd maybe take a test again in a few days/week if it still hasn't come cause you could have ovulated late. when mine finally arrived i actually felt relieved and celebrated with a glass of wine knowing my body was recovering nicely

@northerngal20 thank you so much for responding and I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this too, I hope you are doing ok now? It’s a relief to know others have been experiencing the same symptoms and I’m not going off my head! We haven’t been “trying” as such but have been dtd without protection but not often so I don’t think I’m pregnant and I also don’t feel pregnant if that makes sense. When my period does arrive I think I will have the exact same feeling of relief it’s a bit rollercoaster isn’t it?

yes - it's a complete rollercoaster! take care and do everything you need to look after yourself :) i'm sure it will all work out. i'm doing well now, i actually conceived that cycle after the first period and i'm now nearly 21 weeks with a (as far as i know) healthy baby in there! :)

Yeah I’m just trying to keep busy so the waiting game doesn’t seem as long! Congratulations that’s wonderful news! I had a natural miscarriage before the birth of my daughter 8 years ago and conceived straight after that too so I think the saying is true that you are very fertile after a miscarriage! I hope you aren’t worrying too much (easier said than done I know) and are managing to enjoy the pregnancy to some degree 😊

I’m so sorry for your loss, a MMC is just awful. It took five weeks for my period to come back after my MVA, so you might not be too far off now 🤞🏼 I really hope your journey is a smooth one from here on out xx

@SkyBlue20 thank you for responding to my post. It’s maybe on it’s way then. I hope you are doing ok after your experience x

Sorry for your loss. Mine took nearly 5 months to return and then 4 months to settle back down to normal cycle x
