BFN at 15dpo and no AF?

Hi, I am new to this but would love some advice or opinions that might help. I used an OPK this months for the first time so ovulated CD 15. My usual cycles vary from 28-31 days but I usually have spotting for 2/3 days before every period. I am now on CD 30 and DPO 15 and absolutely nothing . I have done a few FRER test and possibly had a faint line two days ago but it may have been an evaporation line. Today I got a BFN again and I am just wondering has anybody had similar experience. My symptoms could be AF related or early pregnancy, it is so hard to distinguish only my cramps are more like short sharp pains, mainly on the left side that only last a couple of seconds and are gone. Is it possible I am pregnant or is it just a delayed AF do ye think? Any thoughts or advice would be great?Smile

Was the test line on the OPK equally as dark as or darker than the control line? However a positive OPK does not tell you that ovulation has occurred, but rather that you are having a surge of the hormone (LH) required to ovulate. This doesn't always result in an egg being released. The only way to confirm ovulation has happened is by temping. You can also have several LH surges in a cycle before ovulation happens. It may be that you either ovulated later than you think you did or not at all, therefore you may not actually be "late" so to speak. The luteal phase (time after ovulation but before period) is an average of 14 days so if you ovulated late, that will mean your cycle will be longer than usual. Remember bodies are not clockwork and cycles can vary month to month.

meant to add, if you really were 15DPO and pregnant, you would have a very clear positive by now which makes me suspect you probably ovulated later and are earlier in your cycle than you think.

Thank you Wimbler. I use the clear blue 2day LH surge kit so got a static Smiley on CD 14 but didnt use the tempting method so that is something to try in the future. Yes trying to remind myself of that, I have always been very predictable so this is just a little frustrating when changes start to happen when ttc. I will hold tight another few days and test again next week if there is a no show.

our bodies like to troll us occasionally! It's so frustrating especially when you are actively trying to get pregnant. Good luck!

Hi, I would like some advice I haven’t had my period yet this month, my cycle is a bit all over the place since having my daughter in 2019. My boobs are sore I’ve had slight cramps expected to have my period which is a 3 days late. I’ve taken two tests both negative however I went to change my daughters nappy it was negative after a few mins so I put it in the bin. I checked the test this morning out of curiosity and there is a clear blue line making a cross? I used clear blue. So not sure now if I am or if it’s evap? From what I’ve read Evap is usually grey or clearish in colour this line is clearly blue?
