Has anyone done the Sneak Peek test?

I sent mine off yesterday but I wish I read the Trust Pilot reviews!!

Apparently male dna can really easily contaminate the test!

I made sure I was on my own- I used disinfectant and bleach to wipe down the package and surface- washed my hands etc.

I had a hot bath and scrubbed my nails with the brush etc loads!

I didn't even touch a towel just in case 😂 I ran downstairs naked without touching anything to then get the inside of the test kit out and to then do the blood etc.

I found it so hard for the blood not to go under my nail! The blood was so fast flowing.

So it's probably contaminated 😂

Guess I'll find out in a week!!!

Yes I had! It was girl. Live in a house with son and partner too! I was so careful xx

@mamatocaptainchaos I did Sneak Peek & got girl too. We decided not to find out the sex but I was too curious (& very sneaky) so did the test at 17 weeks. My scans look very girly so I’m inclined to say it is leaning that way but only time will tell!!!! X

I did it, said boy. Also sent my scan pic to the nub techs and they said 90% girl. It was a girl!

Had my gender scan sneak peak WAS correct !

@Willowfalls a BLUE went for a private scan yesterday because I’m paranoid and he is most DEFINITELY a boy 🙈

I did one of these this week and I’ll be amazed if it comes back saying anything other than boy I’m not convinced I did it properly as I bled so much, it was clearly dripping from under my nail and I’ve read in several places that you shouldn’t let that happen! I’m also not convinced I scrubbed under my nails well enough (I’m a wimp and it really hurt!)

Sent it off on Wednesday so we shall see. I’m convinced it’s a boy anyway

@Willowfalls yes sneak peak said boy at 10 weeks .. in a lesbian marriage so there was literally NO risk of cross contamination either 😂😂

@Willowfalls I’m still waiting for the results! I got my sample arrived email at 5:45 this evening so I’m hoping it comes soon! I’m convinced it’s a boy, OH reckons girl! The suspense is quite something!

@littlepeaegg I’m intrigued, did your gender scan confirm girl?

Mine came back as a boy but I also have a suspicion that it could have possibly been contaminated...I didn’t see the nail brush in the pack until I already had blood dripping from my finger! We’ll roll with it being a boy for now until 16 weeks when we’ll get a gender scan. We’ve got lots of boys in both of our families and I feel a bit sad that my OH seems a little disappointed that it didn’t say girl.

I used another nail brush that we have by our sink but obviously that could have had my OHs DNA on it! Seemed a bit odd that they said to go all of the scrubbing and cleaning prior to opening the pack but the nail brush was actually hidden under loads of stuff instead! Will be interesting to see if it’s right!

I did it at the end of last year and was certain I'd contaminated it as I found it so hard to fill the tube with blood! But it came back as boy and was correct. I wouldn't do it again because I think it's quite anxiety inducing but I definitely don't think its a money making scheme. They are right most of the time

I did it with my last pregnancy at the end of 2019 and it told me I was having a boy. She’s here now and definitely a girl. HOWEVER, I live with my partner and a male dog. I was super careful about cleaning the area but I started bleeding like crazy and had to reach for kitchen roll, and the last person to handle it was my partner so probably my fault!

I’ll have to say though, they were excellent at refunding and I’d still do it again. It isn’t a scam- sneak peek work in partnership with reputable scan clinics and offer to take the bloods for you for a fee. Then it’s 99.7% accurate. My scan clinic is run by the local hospital so I somehow doubt they’d be offering a service where they just bin your samples and send you any result

I sent mine off last Saturday and I still haven't received a sample received email. Even allowing for the bank holiday Monday I'm a bit annoyed that it seemingly hasn't got there? I want my result!

@inmytwenties have you had your response back yet? I only sent mine off on Thursday and am getting impatient already!

It was wrong for me! Said boy but NIPT and 20 week scan confirmed girl. I think it’s impossible to get an accurate sample at home. It’s very messy!

Question for those of you that have done the test!

I’ve ordered and received it, but not opened it yet. It sounds like an absolute MESS in so many ways. I need to do blood work for my 12 week and was wondering… could I just ask the nurse to fill the vial when she’s taking my bloods? They sanitize the arm before they start, and if she’s already taking a few fingers worth, any possible contamination would have gone through already, right?

I read reviews about women needing to do multiple finger jabs to fill up the vial and it just sounds like a nightmare.
