Hello everyone!

Does anyone have the bbhugme pregnancy pillow at all? Is it worth the eye watering price tag? I had a standard v shape pillow with my first which I have used everyday since (he’s now 2 YO Grin) as I just find it comfier now. But tempted to treat myself!

I bought one the other day - can't comment on whether it's worth the price tag yet but it's really really comfy and I've been more comfortable at night. I had a dreamgenii for my first pregnancy and the bbhugme is leagues above that. I like that you can adjust the firmness of the bbhugme by moving the coloured tabs. There are lots second hand on facebook - you can wash the cover.

I have one and I'm not that convinced by it. Sometimes it's comfortable, but I suffered from insomnia and restless legs and I found the pillow not very breathable and so heated up very quickly and stayed hot. I also hated the silicone tabs which just got in the way all the time (I replaced mine with hairbands). I'm not sure if it was just how I used it, but I missed the back support that the dreamgenii gave me and got frustrated that the beads moved so it felt like it was never quite supporting me in the right way. I ended up supplementing it with lots of other pillows and frequently threw it out of bed in the night in frustration. Especially as it'd been so expensive so I was loathed to buy another one.

I love mine - I probably use it as much in the day as at night. For sitting up in bed or supporting on the sofa. It somehow molds to the exact shape I want to be in, so I think will be useful for breastfeeding too. And I know this is superficial but it looks nice when not being used, like a bolster cushion. Lots of sites will give you 10% off if you first order (like natural baby shower I think) so you can save a little bit on it.

It's my best pregnancy purchase and have used it for two. My DH borrows it when he has backache ... It did more for me over two pregnancies than the osteopath.

I am a huge fan, in case you can't tell. It was worth every penny to me.

I find it very comfortable but like pp I use it more in The day than at night. It doesn’t actually make me sleep any better but that might just be because I find it impossible to sleep on my side. It has the added bonus of looking nice on the bed

This is the one I have, best thing I've bought for myself during my pregnancy! It comes to the sofa and to bed with me, so comfy and I will use it for feeding too when baby is here. I see it's out of stock again though, it's popular. I think I waited a week for it to come back in stock.

Following with interest!

I love mine so much and think I’ll use it well after pregnancy too. As others have said, I use it through the day when sitting up in bed or on the sofa and find it so comfortable for nighttime sleeping. I was so uncertain about spending that much money on a pillow but I don’t regret it!

Ellax · 02/02/2021 18:47

Yeah I love it

Januaryblue2020 · 02/02/2021 18:49

I absolutely loved it, especially after my c section when I couldn't move very well. Worth the money!

gigi556 · 03/02/2021 09:21

Does anyone know what's actually inside the bbhugme? What's it's made of?

It's like a very fine bean bag so it squashes easily and moulds to your shape. it's not noisy like a bean bag as the actual beads must be very small. You can adjust the firmness of the pillow but moving the coloured tabs to make the cover tighter or looser. I've had mine for a few nights now and I love it. it's not making me sleep any better but I'm so much more comfortable which really helps me stay relaxed.

It’s amazing, I can’t recommend enough! Nightly fight over it between myself, hubby and the cat!!

Flittingaboutagain · 04/02/2021 20:07

My friend told me she saw the BB and thought she just couldn't justify the price so bought a really cheap pregnancy pillow off Amazon that was useless, then a mid range one that was still crap and then the BB anyway!

So I've taken her advice and mine came from a health aids shop online this morning! I put my deliveries into quarantine so once that's done I will be having the first good night's sleep in ages (I hope!).

Hufflepuff21 · 04/02/2021 20:11

It was the absolute best thing I bought in my second pregnancy. I had horrendous PGP first time round and when it came back I decided to get a really good pillow. It was a lifesaver for me and I used it to help with breastfeeding when my baby was born.

Mrslouu · 04/02/2021 21:42

I bought one from scandiborn and joined mailing list beforehand and thankfully brought the price down a little. It’s quite large but seems good so far And helping me side sleep.

Smilingdonkey · 04/02/2021 23:40

It's bloody amazing! I am never getting rid of mine! I use it day and night and will get it out for breastfeeding too i'm sure!

Smilingdonkey · 04/02/2021 23:41

It's also far less annoying for DP than the u shaped one I used to have!

bea19 · 26/12/2021 21:19

Hi ladies, can anyone comment on whether you can use the bbhugme pregnancy pillow for nursing too? Can you make it smaller? Thanks!

Fleur405 · 26/12/2021 21:34

I bought one because was struggling with hip pain and liked the idea of being able to adjust the firmness. I am glad I got it and it definitely helped with the hip pain (even if I think the price is a bit nuts for what is essentially a long skinny bean bag!) It’s also really useful for back support when sitting up (and sleeping sitting up because of heartburn)
