The last week or so I feel completely normal, skin isn’t breaking out as much, I’m not tired infact quite the opposite I’m having difficulty sleeping, not using the toilet as much throughout the night.

Is it normal to feel so Ok and full of energy at this point?

Of course! As soon as the first trimester was out the way I have felt GREAT from about 14 weeks until just recently. Im 33 weeks and feel like crap again and uncomfortable. However the 2nd trimester is usually the best because you feel so normal! Enjoy it whilst you can I say! Enjoy feeling baba move, going for scans, etc whilst not feeling poorly.

SunnySideUp2020 · 31/01/2021 14:35

Yes!
I still feel great 31 weeks here. If it wasn't for pelvic pain that started recently.
But full of energy and no symptoms apart from a big belly :)
Enjoy the easy pregnancy

Leala20 · 31/01/2021 15:36

I am also 18 weeks and feel nothing. No bubbles, movements even with my hand down around my belly. It’s my first and one day I feel fuller and feel I have gained weight overnight the other day the belly looks flatter. I feel me breast is as big as it was in the first term when it grew but hasn’t grown any more. I have no cravings and I need to eat more often as get hungry quicker but that’s about it. It’s hard not to worry! Have you felt any movement sensations?

FTEngineerM · 31/01/2021 15:38

Yea enjoy it, by the time 40 weeks comes you’ll be fed up to hell probably Grin

Vogue1992 · 31/01/2021 18:09

Thank you @Phie04 @SunnySideUp2020 abs @FTEngineerM I think I’ll make the most of it, I was expecting to feel better in the second trimester but because it didn’t hit straight away I’ve panicked now it has ha ha.

@Leala20 sounds very similar to how I’m feeling, I keep getting asked about cravings, food aversions or how I’m feeling in general and the honest answer is ‘I feel fine, I don’t feel pregnant’ ... I have a slight bump, well I say slight my tummy is definitely bigger even in the AM. I haven’t felt any movements yet, I’ve been Googling what to expect (sounds silly I know) but like you this is my first so I keep wondering if I’ve missed the movements or are mistaking them for something else. I have an anterior placenta so it could be a while before I feel any movements and I probably won’t feel them as often which sucks! When is your 20 week scan? X

I'm 17 weeks and still feel crap but have just started on extra iron and hope to feel like you soon OP when I will enjoy it!

swiftt · 31/01/2021 18:44

I’m 21 weeks and still don’t really feel pregnant! I’m a little tired, a little hungrier than normal and a bit fatter than normal. I’m trying to enjoy it whilst it lasts, I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m uncomfortable and definitely feeling pregnant!

MelissaAnn92 · 31/01/2021 20:09

I’m 18 weeks too - I’m feeling shattered all the time and hungry but that’s if. I had some niggly growing pains a few days ago so somethings happening in there!

Is anyone feeling movement yet?

Vogue1992 · 31/01/2021 21:51

Sorry to hear this @Flittingaboutagain I hope you feel better soon!

I think I must enjoy the feeling of being normal whilst I can :)

Completely normal I'm 23 weeks now and the only reason I still know I'm pregnant is because he started kicking about a week ago and my little bump has started showing. Enjoy it while it lasts 🙂

PFin · 01/02/2021 01:41

Yes tbh around then was the time i probably felt my best during pregnancy. Still not feeling to bad 26 weeks now and its just the physical size of bump now. Dreading getting to the 30ish week mark. Enjoy it while you can!

LizFlowers · 01/02/2021 02:20

Sounds good to me! Enjoy it. I had a blissful pregnancy too, it was great.

Leala20 · 01/02/2021 07:43

@Vogue1992 I have the NHS one in two weeks. I am really worried. I weigh myself every day (maybe that’s not a good idea?) and both Saturday and Sunday I weighted 100-200 g less than on Friday. It total I have put in 3.5 kg so there’s increase for 18 weeks but I think at this moment bring a worrier I cling onto something tangible as I can’t feel anything else. Having experienced previous loss I cannot stop worrying. When is your scan?
I read somewhere about trying to sleep only in the left hand side and I cannot get used to it. Do you know if there’s any risk at all to the baby sleeping on the right side?

Vogue1992 · 01/02/2021 08:55

Thanks for your responses, I think I must definitely enjoy the calm before the storm. It is so bitter sweet feeling so good, I couldn't wait to get my energy levels back and now I have them I'm questioning it ha ha the joys of pregnancy.

@Leala20 I totally get it, like you I had a loss in July 2019 so now I seem to Google everything and constantly read forums which ends up in me overthinking and worrying about things I'd never have thought about. I've booked in for a private scan tonight just to see Baby and hear heartbeat. My 20 week scan is two weeks today, it's weird because it was only last Friday I thought "oh I haven't worried yet" and here I am.

Have you tried a pregnancy pillow? I was struggling to sleep on my left side too but it's definitely helped, although I do go on to my right side for a little bit during the night. I've done a bit of research online and your left side is recommended for maximum blood flow, it does state that either left or right is fine but to avoid your back. If your bump isn't too big you can also continue sleeping on your tummy as it doesn't cause any issues. I didn't think it mattered until 3rd trimester, but I've read a few posts which say from 20 weeks onwards. I think I might check with my Midwife x

I've just ordered the BB Hug me for the same reason.

Enjoy the peace OP.

Girlmum91 · 01/02/2021 15:57

18w1d here :). Completely normal! I'm still tired (have a toddler to run around after though so that's probably why) but nowhere near the complete exhaustion of the first 12 weeks.

I do definitely feel pregnant as I've been feeling movement since 12 weeks but this is my second baby and third pregnancy. It happened a lot later with my first.

Leala20 · 01/02/2021 18:37

@Vogue1992 good luck today! I have booked in a private one this week too. Which pregnancy pillow did you get as there’s many so maybe I check it out?

MelissaAnn92 · 01/02/2021 20:46

Good luck for your scan @Vogue1992Daffodil

I went for A private scan at the weekend too. Amazing how they grow from 12w to 18.

Is it normal to not feel pregnant at 18w 2d?
PurBal · 01/02/2021 20:53

I'm 18w and loving the reduction in symptoms, my skin looks great. I'm not sleeping, I've always slept on my side but struggling even with my small bump, constantly waking up on my back. And I'm having a lot of nightmares. Feel a few flutters but nothing definite.

ParkheadParadise · 01/02/2021 20:57

I didn't know I was pregnant with Dd2 at 18w.
I was walking about totally oblivious to what was happening 😄

Vogue1992 · 02/02/2021 08:09

Everything was absolutely fine at my scan so I promise to definitely make the most of the 2nd trimester and the feeling of normal :)

@Leala20 Here is the link for the pillow I ordered www.pharmedoc.co.uk/products/u-shape-pregnancy-pillow-grey it was delivered the following day too :) Let me know how your scan goes x

@MelissaAnn92 Wow Melissa, that's amazing! Congratulations :)

Leala20 · 02/02/2021 11:10

@Vogue1992 thank you and that’s amazing-congratulations! Did you do an early 20 week scan or a monitoring one?

Leala20 · 02/02/2021 11:10

@MelissaAnn92 very cute!

Pinkblueberry · 02/02/2021 11:12

Yes I felt like this - horrendous nausea until about 13 weeks and then no bump until about 18 or 19 weeks, didn’t feel pregnant at all in-between, even my boobs which had gone huge in the first weeks had gone back to normal.

Vogue1992 · 02/02/2021 11:18

@Leala20 I had a Growth and Assure, so the Sonographer who is usually based at my Hospital did measurements, showed Baby's kidneys, stomach, brain, heart etc. The 20 week scan will be more in depth, but she didn't see anything of concern. Baby was just a bit anti social if anything lol. When is your scan, what scan have you booked in for?
