Early Labour - feel like I'm going to wet myself.

Had to go in to be checked yesterday after little one had reduced movements, and I had some tightenings with back pain plus lost my plug.

They told me I was in very early labour. Completely thinned out, and just about 1cm dilated, cervix high. Baby head not engaged however 2nd baby so apparently this is quite normal.

Today the contractions are very stop start, when they are going they are now about 4 minutes apart and last about 50 seconds. I find they go on for a few hours then stop for a while.

I'm now noticing when I get a contraction I feel a big pressure down there and feel like a balloon of water is ready to pop - almost like really needing a pee and being on the edge of a accident. But my bladder is definitely empty.

Is this a sign of progressing labour? Or something else?

Never went into labour naturally before so it's all new to me completely.

Could that be your waters? You sound like you are on your way. Do you have a birthing ball? I found that great for early labour. Spent hours on it before I went to the hospital.

I do, but I've bounced that much my thighs hurt 😂

I didn't know you could feel your waters.

I didn't and mine were manually broken. But from the words you used that's what came to mind. How are you feeling?
