I've made a curry from fennel seeds and while having I've read a lot online about it causing premature contractions, just wondering if anyone else has ever had problems with consuming fennel seeds while pregnant, or in your experience was it safe, thanks x

Seeds should be fine in small quantities.
It's the refined supplements and oils that should be avoided completely due to high concentrations.

You will be fine. Are you as anxious about all foods? Speak to your midwife if you're experiencing anxiety

I am indian and we eat/use fennel seeds very often in our recipes. I am currently 16 weeks and I consume it in small quantities (about 1 tsp) every week in some way or the other. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks everyone for your replies, it's always helpful hearing from other moms, this is my first pregnancy that's why I think I get quite anxious about things x

I think a curry which contained enough seeds to be harmful would be absolutely inedible!
