Stripping walls when pregnant

Just wondering if it's safe to strip walls when pregnant? We've recently moved into a house that hasn't been decorated since the 70s and I've heard things about lead paint etc.

I'll be using a steamer and I'll probably wear a mask and gloves to be on the safe side. Will just be OK?

Thanks x

Use the masks with filtration vents on them, keep rooms well ventilated and you should have minimal risk.
I painted our house when heavily pregnant with our 1st and had no issues.
If there was a confirmed presence of toxic materials I would employ a specialist pregnant or not but most things will be low risk to you and baby.

Lead paint tends to be found on woodwork less so on walls. Don't sand any old doors etc, pregnant or not, if there's a chance of lead paint.
