Am I just being pathetic? 5+2 (I think!)

Hello

Found out last week I’m expecting after trying for 20 months! Had a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling in October so suspect that’s why

I think I’m 5+2, though cycles irregular so can’t be certain of that (could be a week less possibly).

I’m absolutely exhausted. Waking at 4:30/5am each morning, can’t sleep then. No sickness yet but burning in my throat every evening.

Still getting occasional cramps but nothing like my Adenomyosis fuelled period pains thankfully. And no bleeding either thankfully,

I just feel absolutely wiped out! Is this normal or am I just being a wet lettuce? I’m in bed already! Shock

First of all congratulations! Second of all no you’re not being pathetic, it’s a mix of all the hormones and I think a little bit of emotions/nerves/mind in overdrive.
I’m now 11 weeks after a long journey to conceive too and I remember the first 2/3 weeks my sleep was awful. Thankfully it got better around 6 weeks and was doing ok till a few day’s ago but now the waking to pee has started 😂 hope you get back to being able to get proper rest soon!

Weeks 5 - 10 I was so exhausted! This is my second pregnancy and it has been the same in both. It does ease up but the foetus is growing so rapidly plus all your hormones are changing so much. Hormones are probably to blame for sleep cycles being all over the place. Congratulations and I hope everything goes well.

Congratulations! With my second DC I found out at 6 weeks but the week before I’d kept saying I thought I was coming down with something as I felt that kind of exhaustion that normally comes with being ill.

Thanks for your replies ladies (and sorry I didn’t see them last night, managed to get to sleep pretty early! Haha)

I’ll take it easy this week and hopefully will start to get more energy. If it carries on I might have to tell work- I work from home at the min (solicitor) but I’m worried as I’m absolutely shattered and struggling to keep on top of things! Blush

Did any of you tell work early on/ how did you power through if not? Smile

The exhaustion is insane! I'm 7 weeks now and still going to bed at half 8!

I also get the fun thing where you wake up and can't get back to sleep! I hear it does get easier and I applaud people who are doing this with other children at home!
