If you had a home birth, where where you when baby arrived?

Just curious as thinking of a homebirth myself.. Pool is an obvious one, but if it wasnt the pool where was it and how was the place set up? Bathroom floor? Bed? Towels? Cushions? Plastic sheets?!

Upstairs in my bedroom. We only have an upstairs bathroom and in the early stages I needed to be very near the loo.

Gave birth standing by a large dressing table. Incontinence bed pads on the floor caught the waters and I had a cheap shower curtain over the bed (duvet removed till clean and comfortable).

Best tip, if you have good towels you dont want to be used in the birth make sure your partner knows this. When asked to fetch towels my husband didnt think to grab the newly stacked pile of old ones but did bring the nice new fluffy ones.
