When to test to hopefully get clearblue 3+?

Hi

Just as the title suggests really.

I’m currently 4+4 today and got my bfp at 3+1 (8dpo). Certain of dates as I temp and use opk’s.

At 10dpo I got clearblue 1-2 weeks, 12dpo I got 2-3 weeks.

I’ve read lots about it taking much longer to move onto the 3+ So I’m not sure when to test. Once I get past 5 weeks should I expect to see it?

I don’t want to panic myself by not seeing progression - although I am aware some never see it move on and all is ok, but after 4 mc I only ever saw progression in my healthy pregnancies, with my mc they never progressed as they should.

I used one of those just after 5wk and it came up 3+. I'd had strong positives on other tests over a week earlier.

Thank you. All my other tests, cheapies, first responders are all very dark, even stealing dye from the control line and they’ve been like that for a good few days now.

Do you need to see it ? It might cause unnecessary anxiety? I know they’re not that reliable from reading on here.

For what it’s worth I got mine at 5w + 3d. I only did it as my H had bought a pack of two and I knew it was never going to be used (3rd and final pregnancy!)

Unfortunately these home tests are not a good indicator of a healthy pregnancy.
With my last mc at 9wk in July it took over 2 weeks for home tests to go back to negative. Early scans aren't either as I had one that showed a heartbeat with that pregnancy too, a week later I held my tiny baby in my hand. All you can do is hope.
This pregnancy has passed the point that I lost the last one and I feel better about it too, felt uneasy all the time in the last.
Good luck

Hi op - congratulations. I got a positive test like you at 3 & 1, didn’t get positive digital with 1-2 weeks until 3 & 3. Then on 3 & 6 got 2-3 weeks. On 4 & 3 I got 3+ but then for 2 day’s it yoyo’d between 2-3 and 3+ depending on when I took it so obviously I was borderline HCG. I have heard some women never getting 3 + on a test and still having a perfectly normal pregnancy.. so don’t stress too much, I remember I was so upset when it dropped from 3+ down to 2-3 but a few hours it went back up. I’m now nearly 11 weeks and all is going well.
Ps yes I’m a serial tester and should own shares in first response and clear blue 😂 but I figure if that’s what I want to waste my money on then that’s just fine 😂

I agree, easier said than done, but leave it! I’ve had 3+ with two of my miscarriages, so it’s no guarantee. It’s so difficult to relax when pregnant after a miscarriage, I just aim to take each day as it comes, but try not to put any more pressure on yourself! Good luck!

If your hcg is doubling every 48 hours and you got 1-2 weeks at 12 dpo then you should get 3+ weeks on 21/22 dpo. 20 dpo may be slightly under the threshold. I got mine at 21 dpo.

Like pp said it doesn’t guarantee anything unfortunately. But it’s nice to see!

Remember 2 weeks is added onto your date and its taken from start of your last period so when a clearblue says 3+ your actually 5+ due to those 2 weeks being added on. Dont rely on those tests to much for an accurate week result. I took one when i was pretty sure I was pregnant and it came back negative and I took another one a week late and it came back 3+ weeks.
