HCG and no period after miscarriage

Hallo ladies. I had a d&c 7 weeks ago, still did not get my period after that. I did 2 tests yesterday and got very faint second lines. Dont know if I am pregnant again or is it just left over hcg. No sore breasts, just have nausea and heartburn.

Hi, sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

If you have had sex in that time period I believe it's possible for you to be pregnant. I think I read that after miscarriage you can ovulate and then get period so conceivable for a person to fall pregnant before their first period. However just to help manage your expectations, I was still getting faint positive tests after medical management of miscarriage up to 2 months later so the HCG can stick around for a while.

If you think you might be pregnant you can ask your GP to do blood tests to measure HCG a few days apart. I did that and as luck would have it my period arrived after the first blood test.

Thank you for your reply. Will wait a week or two to see if my period comes. If not then I will go to my gyne.
