My 2.5yo is really worried whenever I'm sick. Has anyone found a good way to explain it to them? We try to reassure him that I'm OK, but it is obviously quite alarming. The first time DH explained that it was because of the baby in my tummy but then that seemed to make him scared of the baby, so we haven't mentioned that again.

Any tips?

It's not the " baby in your tummy", say it's how your body is doing all the right things to keep the baby in your tummy growing well. Keep it simple. It's just a symptom of pregnancy, not the best symptom, but entirely normal and will prob get better.
If you had morning sickness with your first, say it happened then too, then he won't associate the unborn child with something that upsets him.
Poor you, hope it starts to improve soon

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I bought my little boy (who has just turned 3) a book called "there's a house inside my mummy" back when I was in first trimester and being sick daily. I'm not sure he fully understood but he seemed to understand a little bit more after that... i got it on Amazon for about a fiver but there's lots of different books aimed at toddlers about new siblings arriving so it may help! Good luck with pregnancy xx
