I'm being induced on Friday (40+6) as I have diet controlled gestational diabetes. They're happy for me to have a water birth in the on site MLU if I go into natural labour though.
I had a sweep on Fri at 39+6, 2cm dilated, she could feel the head. Then Saturday I lost a bit more mucus plug and Sunday so much gross bloody show after a long walk.
What are people's experiences with multiple sweeps after bloody show? Is there and increased risk of infection? Will it speed things up so I might not need to be induced or make the induction easier? Or should I just sit tight for a few days?
I don't have any niggles and I swear I'm having fewer Braxton Hicks than I had been having.
Can't wait to not be pregnant any more and eat some chocolate!!! (And meet my baby, of course!)
