Could I be pregnant ? Nausea suddenly gone??

Hey guys. At the start of December I missed my period. It normally is very regular. Shortly after that I had bad nausea , vomiting once or twice a day, tiredness. I didn't bother to test I know that was stupid of me. But from past experiences I hate testing. Start of January period didnt come again. But now the nausea has gone away completely? The doctor had prescribed me with a sickness tablet called cyzlizine. I was taking it for weeks and now I stopped because I don't need it . It seems like the nausea has gone away completely when it was really bad .. I get random cramps in my stomach , and random pains in my right side almost like stretching pains or growing pains. I had dry heaving all day everyday and vomiting and nausea but now all of a sudden its just gone?? Could I still be pregnant or what's the story. ( I know I should test, but looking advice first ) xxx

There's no point looking for advice before you take a test - just take a test then you'll know. X

You could be anywhere between 10-11 weeks (your last period would have been start of nov) and for some people the symptoms start to settle around 10 weeks. If you are pregnant you need get your midwife app booked ASAP as that’s normally at 8 weeks and your 12 week scan. There are certain tests they can’t do if you are too late at the 12 week scan for some genetic issues. However I think it’s about 15-16 weeks pregnant so you have time.

Without doing a test you won't know for sure but it definitely sounds like you could be!

To be honest I'm surprised your doctor prescribed cyclizine without questioning pregnancy with those symptoms and missed periods.

Do you not need to know if you are so you can book in with a midwife?

This is so odd, why on earth wouldn't you just take a test and find out? What exactly is it you are waiting for?

Could you be pregnant? Yes

Could you still be pregnant? So could you have had a miscarriage? Unlikely if you’ve not bled in the last couple of months.

Seriously you need to take a test!

It's normal for nausea to go away once you get to a certain stage of pregnancy.

Just take a pregnancy test!

I'm surprised the doctor didn't do a test.

Surely the doctor would have asked ‘could you be pregnant?’ Before prescribing that. So did you just say no?

Update guys. I tested and I'm pregnant. So many crazy emotions right now first thing I'm going to do is contact my gp and tell him and see where things go from there xxxx

Did the doctor not question pregnancy when prescribing anti sickness meds. How utterly bizarre.

@sunshine54321 if you can’t get through to the doctors they tend to just give you a self referral number which you could try to google. Definitely need to get your booking and 12 week scan booked. Have you done an online calculator to see what your rough due date / number of weeks is?
