Is an appointment for physio counted as an antenatal appointment?

I’ve made an appointment to see a physiotherapist at a private hospital as I have pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy. Does this count as an antenatal appointment for time off work?

I’m presuming the NHS physios are going to be overwhelmed dealing with Covid patients!

If it's for work you're asking, yes it is counted as a pregnancy related appt so you don't have to make time up etc.

It should count as pregnancy related and be given as paid leave

yes

Yes.

But I wouldn't feel bad about asking for a on NHS referral. Women's health physios will be having nothing to do with covid patients, it's a completely different area of physiotherapy.

The NHS can only offer me a telephone appointment in 8 weeks time as I just discovered. Sad
